Despite the forecast for rain and gusty winds, Mukti Trust had even more support for this year’s Golf Day than last year.

Following a delicious, gut-filling breakfast,  a whopping 51 golfers teed off. The morning consisted of a nine-hole ‘best ball golf’ team event; through the rain and wind some shots went astray, but overall good scores were obtained, and everyone was well warmed up for the afternoon.

Lunch provided an extra boost of energy for the 18-hole singles event in the afternoon. The sun peeked through the clouds at times, while the golfers continued with gusto.

During the afternoon some newbies tried out their swing in the golf clinic. They learnt how to hold a club; swing; aim; chip; and all importantly, how to putt. One even managed to get a par on the first hole. A potential golf pro may have been found!!!

The day was rounded off with a hearty three-course dinner, and an auction. The whole event was a huge success. Mukti Trust would like to thank all those who attended for their continued support. We hope to see you again next time to meet new challenges on the golf course!
