Charity Chess Valley Fun Walk
Chorleywood House Estate
Sunday 12th July 2009
In partnership with BEHT & Inner Joy Foundation

"I had done voluntary work at the Mukti Trust in Chapada, India in 2008. When one of the trustees told me about a fun walk I said yes immediately. I had experienced first hand the good work the charity does in helping orphaned and under privileged girls and I wanted to continue to make some kind of contribution to the organisation. The fun walk was a great way of raising money and awareness for the charity as well as being an enjoyable afternoon socialising and getting some exercise.
The fun walk was a 7 mile walk along the beautiful Chiltern countryside. We were very lucky with the weather that day, it was glorious sunshine. I went walking with a group of three other women whom I'd never met before. The walk was relaxing and we took our time doing the trail whilst chatting, laughing and getting to know each other. We stopped for lunch at a beautiful spot overlooking a river. It was the perfect way to enjoy a warm Sunday afternoon. At the end of the walk we were all enjoying each others company so much we decided to go out for a celebratory cup of coffee and cake. Much needed after walking 7 miles! It was a lovely ending to a lovely day. Not only had we raised money for the Mukti Trust we'd make friends along the way and I look forward to the next charity event."
